The Anti-Ageing Tips We Learnt From Those 1990s Supermodels

Claudia, Naomi, Cindy, Christy, and of course Elle, and Linda. No surnames needed.

It’s the stuff of a sizzling George Michael film clip. They may have gotten older but their skin remains perfect.

So what can this group of supermodels teach us about perfect skin? Let’s put on our perfectly faded jeans and a white t-shirt and find out!

These are the five things we learned from the original supermodel’s Instagram feeds!

Eat Well

A supermodel knows that what you eat affects your skin. And antioxidant rich melons are the ideal fruit snack for fighting the signs of ageing.

Exercise

Sure Naomi and Co may love a good workout to maintain their money making physique. But more than that, studies constantly show that physical exercise keeps us young.

Always show yourself in the best light

A swipe through a supermodel’s Insta feed indicates that a good selfie requires glowing skin, the perfect lipstick covered pout, clutter free background and flattering lighting. It would seem with years of practice in front of the camera, supermodels have the selfie shot nailed.

Get your beauty sleep

Supermodels love a nap too. Probably because they know that going without sufficient sleep will create ugly skin problems. And no supermodel wants pale skin, puffy eyes, dark circles under the eyes, or fine lines and wrinkles. And as for dealing with sluggish skin cell renewal and breakouts, not on today’s agenda.

Be Sun Smart

Whether you are at St Tropez or the local pool, a big hat hat and supersized sunglasses are the best protection from the paparazzi. Luckily they also provide your skin with protection from the harmful effects of UV from the sun, a major cause of fine lines and wrinkles.

And for the bonus runway look, take care of your face

Take a note from Cindy Crawford. If you can’t get a Chemical Skin Peel at your poolside resort, re-energise your skin with face mask to remove those dull, dead skin cells and encourage fresh cell regeneration.
